Melissa J. Winthers visit superlawyers.com

Ms. Winthers practices in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice and has obtained awards ranging from tens of thousands of dollars to several million dollars. Her knowledge and understanding of the medicine associated with such claims is a key factor in obtaining significant awards for her clients. Ms. Winthers has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, an achievement awarded only to the top 2.5 percent of attorneys. Ms. Winthers is a Colorado native who graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Colorado College in 1995.

Ms. Winthers is licensed to practice before the Colorado Supreme Court and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She serves as the President Elect of the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado and has served on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. She authors a monthly column for the Colorado Chiropractic Association regarding medical-legal issues and a column for Colorado Motorcyclist’s Rights and Training Organization regarding personal injury. Ms. Winthers has spoken at numerous medical-legal seminars about brain injuries and traumatic neck and back injuries and their long-term consequences. She has lectured to medical providers and health care associations regarding proving injuries in the courtroom and appropriate record keeping. Ms. Winthers has set up on-going trial skills seminars for new lawyers through CTLA. She is a member of the American, Colorado, and Denver Bar Associations and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association.
